Abstract submissions are now being accepted for the 3rd Annual Mini Rural and Remote Medicine Conference taking place October 24-25, 2026 in Thunder Bay, Ontario 

We welcome submissions for educational presentations and hands-on workshops that support rural and remote healthcare. 

Abstract Submission Deadline: August 24, 2026 

Abstract Categories

  • Lectures (Breakout Sessions) 
    Engaging 60-minute presentations focused on knowledge-sharing, clinical updates, or innovations in rural and remote healthcare. 
  • Hands-on Workshops 
    Interactive, skills-based sessions designed for deeper clinical learning. Standard length is 60 minutes, but proposals for 2-hour sessions are welcome. 

Submission Requirements

Please ensure your abstract includes the following required information: 

  • Conflicts of Interest: Complete the Conflicts of Interest and SRPC Speaker Terms forms 
  • Presentation Details: Title, description, learning objectives and relevant tags 
  • Additional Information: Any other relevant details for your abstract 
  • Co-Presenters: Add any co-presenters, if applicable 


Peer Review Process

All abstract submissions will be reviewed by the Mini Rural & Remote Planning Committee. You will be notified of the committee’s decision once the review process has been completed. 

Important Notes

  • Incomplete submissions or those missing required information may not be considered. 
  • You may make edits to your submission before the deadline of August 24, 2026.
